Nanded is one of the historical places in Maharashtra State. It is situated on north bank of Godavari river. It is famous for Sikh Gurudwaras. Nanded is a town of great antiquity. It is said that during the Puranic days, Pandavas travelled through Nanded district. Nandas ruled over Nanded through generations. Nanded also formed part of the Mauryan Empire during the reign of emperor Ashoka the great. Places to visit in the city are Gurudwara Hazur Sahib(Gurudwara Shikar Ghat Sahib), Sachkand and Other Gurudwaras, Nanded Fort, Kandhar Fort etc.

Nanded States that devotees should circulate bhavani [Annapurna] 108 times in Chaitra month,shukla paksha Ashtami. By doing this the devotees would derive the benefit of Circumambulating all the mountains,seas,divine ashrams, all Is lands and the entire world.Devotees should Circumambulate this deity eight times daily and Worship Annapurna. If devotees face any sort of hardship in kashi,they should worship Maa Annapurna and they will be leessed with all prosperity and Their obstacles will be removed. Annapurna Devi is located at Annapurna temple.the narrow lane or gali approaching the temple in knows as ratneshwari gali.Kindly refer ratneshwari temple for directions to reach place. Devotess worship this deity as one form of durga in the NAV Durga yatra during Navratri falling in September – October, This deity is called as mahagauri Durga and is worshipped on the 8th day of the Navratri.


The place of worship is open from 04:00 am to 10:00 p.m Aarties are conducted early morning 12:00 noon & 08:30 & 10:00 p.m ,There is also annadanam daily at the temple premises in the afternoon where devotees can get free food,
